The end of support means that Windows XP installations are being phased out globally. On the 8Th of April 2014, users of Windows XP will no longer receive security updates, hotfixes , free or paid assisted support, or even online technical content updates. Without critical Windows security updates, PC's become vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software which can steal or damage business data. If you continue to use Windows XP after this date, be prepared for the problems that may arise from an unsupported OS.

This means that it will be more difficult to maintain your PC and cost more to fix your Windows XP PC/Latop when problems arise.
